“At the age of 15 I realised I wanted to be a chef. I started to learn under the watchful eye of one of Scotland’s finest chefs, Joe Queen. Working in the premier kitchens in Scotland, I learned my trade. At the age of 18 I moved to Wales and became a head chef. Over the next few years, my career really took off and I have worked all over the world gaining expertise in diverse culinary styles. I earned multiple awards for my work including being a two-time silver medallist for Scotland.
My passion for food led me to become a lecturer for 7 years whilst continuing my work as a chef. I opened venues all over the world winning multiple awards such as Best Restaurant, Best Menu del Dia, Best Wedding Venue and the list goes on. Winning a Michelin Star was one of my proudest moments.
4 years ago, I moved to Spain with my family and opened the wonderful restaurant Number 6 by Genoa. The awards that we won and the happy times that we shared have created special memories for me. Now it is time for a new adventure, Los Elementos, watch this space.” ~ Gary Cromie
